The world is undergoing profound changes, and both Germany and Israel are facing critical challenges in shaping their future identities and international relations. While diplomatic and business ties between the two countries exist, a grassroots cultural dialogue has never truly taken place. This is a missed opportunity.

My Initiative: Israel auf Deutsch (Israel in German)

My initiative aims to change that. Through engaging, high-quality video content in German, we will showcase the real Israel - not just as a geopolitical hotspot but as a vibrant, diverse, and innovative society.

Why This Matters for Germany and Israel

  • Germany needs a renewed national identity. Many Germans still struggle with inherited guilt, which prevents them from developing a confident and future-oriented national perspective. A deeper emotional connection to Israel - a nation that understands resilience and identity-building - can be a key factor in overcoming these psychological barriers.
  • Israel is often misunderstood in Europe. Outside of political and business circles, Israel’s image in Germany is shaped by media conflict coverage rather than its innovation, culture, and people. This initiative aims to bring the real Israel closer to everyday Germans in their own language.
  • Bilateral relationships will define the future. The global order is shifting away from large multinational alliances toward strong bilateral cooperation. Strengthening the cultural foundation of German-Israeli relations will allow both nations to benefit from a deeper, long-term partnership.

Why I Am the Right Person to Lead This Initiative

I am deeply rooted in both cultures:

  • Born and raised in Germany, with a background in media and technology.
  • Moved to Israel in 1989, immersing myself in Jewish culture, media production, and international business.
  • I have spent decades bridging the gap between these two societies.

This initiative is not about politics - it’s about people. It’s about building emotional and intellectual bridges between Germany and Israel through authentic storytelling.
